Barcelona based fashion designer, content creator and author Juan Avellaneda is one of the most influential names in the Spanish scene. As creative director of his couture label Avellaneda and partner of SEE IOU, his women’s ready to wear line, he blends timeless sophistication with a fresh and contemporary vision of fashion.
A style icon and celebrity stylist, he has worked with figures such as Nieves Álvarez, Ronnie Wood and Jaime de Marichalar, among many others. His work and personality have consistently placed him among the most elegant men in publications such as Icon, Vanity Fair, GQ and Harper’s Bazaar Spain. He also works as a creative consultant for different brands, shaping their aesthetic narrative and visual identity.
Since 2017, his presence on television has made him a widely recognized face, taking part as a judge and collaborator in shows such as Cámbiame, MasterChef Celebrity and Operación Triunfo, as well as a Netflix documentary and his own program on craftsmanship for TVE, among other audiovisual projects. In 2019 he published his first book, Poténciate, a practical style guide, and in 2025 he released Flashing Lights, his first novel, where he blends fashion, lifestyle and fiction through a personal and immersive narrative.
With over 1.7 million followers on social media, Juan has established himself as a leading content creator in fashion and lifestyle, collaborating with national and international brands. He also regularly writes for media outlets such as El País, La Vanguardia and La Razón, combining his creative work with talks, consultancy and editorial projects.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
In addition to leading the creative direction of his own brand, Juan Avellaneda develops projects and works as a creative consultant for other brands, as well as a stylist.
TELEVISION
Since 2017, Juan has taken part in some of the most widely watched programs on Spanish television.
He currently hosts his own program on Spanish Television focused on national craftsmanship.
In 2022, he appeared in La Marquesa on Netflix as one of the main figures, acting as the right hand and creative mind behind the restoration project of El Rincón Palace.
In 2020, he was a contestant on MasterChef Celebrity, becoming one of the semifinalists.
In 2019, he worked as a teacher on Operación Triunfo, giving coaching and styling classes to the contestants of the academy.
Between 2017 and 2019, he was a judge on the daily television show Cámbiame, broadcast on Telecinco.
He also regularly collaborates on programs across other networks.
CONTENT CREATOR
His positioning as a personality on social media, particularly on Instagram and TikTok through @avellaneda_ eu , has allowed him to build a highly loyal following as well as a strong and valuable relationship with the press.
COLLABORATIONS
Juan collaborates with different brands both in terms of image and creative direction.
Notably, his collaboration with Bulgari allowed him to design two handbags for international release, becoming the second designer worldwide to create for the brand. He has also been the face of Jaguar, starring in campaigns for television and digital platforms.
