Mónica Cruz is a Spanish dancer, actress, and designer. She first gained recognition portraying Silvia Jáuregui in the television series Un paso adelante (2002–2005), a role she reprised years later in UPA Next (2022–2023). She has also appeared in series such as Águila Roja, Velvet Colección, Madres. Amor y vida, and La que se avecina.

As a dancer, she spent seven years as part of Joaquín Cortés’ company, a formative period that marked the beginning of her professional career in the performing arts.

In film, she has worked on both national and international productions, including L’inchiesta (2006), Astérix at the Olympic Games (2008), Jerry Cotton (2010), Iron Cross (2011), and served as the body double for Angélica in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). She also voiced the character “Juarez” in G-Force (2009).

Since 2017, Mónica has collaborated on El Hormiguero, and she currently appears on the well-known television show Zapeando, further expanding her presence on screen.

Alongside her audiovisual career, Mónica has built an active path as a designer. Between 2006 and 2010 she created accessories for Samantha Tavassa; from 2007 to 2009 she designed several collections for Mango; and from 2011 to 2014 she collaborated with Charles Vögele. In 2013 she developed a handbag collection for Loewe, and between 2012 and 2015 she designed for L’Agent by Agent Provocateur. She later created handbag lines for Carpisa (2015–2019) and has been collaborating with Geox since 2022.
