Aixa Villagrán (Seville, 1978) began her dramatic arts studies at Juan Carlos Corazza's studio in Madrid, where she received a scholarship to further her acting training at Patricia Reyes Spíndola's school in Mexico.


After several years on stage, she made her film debut at the age of 23 with the movie Carlos Against the World (Chiqui Carabante, 2003). Since then, she has appeared in titles such as Mataharis (Icíar Bollaín, 2007), Amador (Fernando León de Aranoa, 2010), Kiki, Love to Love (Paco León, 2016), María (and Everybody Else) (Nely Reguera, 2016), Crazy About Her (Dani de la Orden, 2021), Double Trouble (Paco Caballero, 2021), Tomorrow is Today (Nacho García Velilla, 2022), and On the Fringe (Juan Diego Botto, 2022).


On television, she has participated in series such as Vergüenza (Juan Cavestany and Álvaro Fernández Armero), What Ever Happened to Jorge Sanz? (David Trueba), Arde Madrid (Paco León and Anna R. Costa), Perfect Life (Leticia Dolera), and The Snow Girl (Jesús Mesas and Javier Andrés Roig). Perfect Life was recognized at the Canneseries Festival with two awards: Best Series and Special Performance Award for the three leading actresses: Leticia Dolera, Aixa Villagrán, and Celia Freijeiro.


In 2024, she premiered the series La Mesías (Movistar+), produced by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, and the series Bellas Artes (Movistar+) created by Mariano Cohn, Gastón Duprat, and Andrés Duprat, the award-winning Argentine trio behind films such as The Distinguished Citizen and Official Competition and some of the most acclaimed series of recent years: The Manager and Nothing (both on Disney+).


She is set to premiere the film The Red Virgin, directed by Paula Ortiz, alongside Najwa Nimri, and has just finished filming the third season of the series The Snow Girl (Netflix), alongside Milena Smit and Miki Esparbé.
